The annual "Dragon Boat Festival Flower Market" is Tengchong's big local event during the Dragon Boat Festival. In addition to plants such as flowers and trees, it also incorporates pets, crafts, food, entertainment and other items. Even for such a small town, it is capable of gathering hundreds of booths to hold a seven days' "flower street" activity.  It can be seen that Yunnan is really the so called "plant kingdom".
